We help local businesses with payment processing setup and support, billing, websites and online ordering, and social media marketing. This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). WHAT WE COLLECT: • Information you give us: your name, business name, email, phone number and any message you send through our contact or rate review form, by email or by phone. • Information for applications: if you choose to apply for a merchant account, we collect the business and owner details the processor needs, such as statements, ownership details and banking information. • Website data: basic technical and usage data, such as browser type, pages visited and approximate location. This comes from cookies and similar analytics tools. WHY WE COLLECT IT: • To answer your questions and give you quotes or rate reviews • To set up and support the services you ask for • To send you a merchant application, but only if you choose to apply • To improve our website and services • To send you updates, but only if you agree (see Email below) • To meet our legal obligations We collect only what we need for these purposes. CONSENT: When you submit a form or contact us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, subject to any legal or contract limits. If you withdraw, we may not be able to provide some services. SHARING: We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting (Framer), email and our customer relationship management (CRM) system. They may use it only to provide their services to us. • Payment processors and their partners, only when you apply for a merchant account, and only to process that application and support your account. • Authorities, when the law requires it. Some of our service providers may store data outside Canada. If so, the laws of that country may apply to it. EMAIL (CASL): We send marketing emails only with your consent, or where the law otherwise allows. Every marketing email shows who we are and includes a working unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing us. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. COOKIES: Our site uses essential cookies and may use basic analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them. RETENTION: We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. After that, we securely delete it or make it anonymous. SAFEGUARDS: We protect personal information with reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards, such as access controls and secure, password-protected systems. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure. ACCESS AND CORRECTION: You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how we have used or shared it, and ask us to correct it. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.
